After recent conversations about comic books with both Niki and my friend Erik, I found myself obsessively reading through Wiki articles to find out what’s become of my favorite super heroes and villains.
I used to read comics nonstop in my teens. Mostly X-Men. I was an insomniac and I spent almost every school night reading and sketching my own creations. Then I’d get dressed and do the same in all of my classes.
Long story short, I got really into the music coming out of the UK in high school, became a song writer, and tried to move to London. I guess I must have forgotten all about comics somewhere along the road.
Anyway, some crazy shit has gone down in the Marvel universe — my comic brand of choice — and now I’m scrambling to find out exactly what’s happening. I read the House of M storyline last night. It was insane and a great read. Now I’m going to start reading through the story oh Hope, the first mutant born sense “D-Day,” and how Cable raised her, and, really, I can say anything at this point because most of you have stopped reading, haven’t you?
And so Stereo, mild-mannered nerd, became a slightly bigger nerd…
