This is the very first Valentines Day in my life that actually means something to me. Every other Valentines Day before this one was just a Friday or a Tuesday or garbage day or whatever. But today is different, because I’m in love with a wonderful girl.
Unfortunately, for me, this wonderful girl I’m in love with is in love with some other dude.
You know what sucks? I’ve never met him, but he seems like a really nice guy. If he was a jerk, I could at least hate him. But I suppose if that was the case, she wouldn’t be in love with him in the first place. Man, wouldn’t that be awesome? For me, I mean?
Anyway, like I said, I’ve never met this ever-so-nice guy, so I really don’t know much about him. He seems to make her happy, though. That’s all that matters, I guess.
Happy Valentines Day, everyone. And as for you, my secret Valentine, if you’re reading this and know who you are — I suspect you do — I drink my first tea of the day in honor of you, your non-jerk boyfriend, and your happiness. I’m proud and happy to at least call you a friend.
